Questioning Strategies that Support Student Learning, NSDC Conference, attended by Karen Loesch, Daniel Boone
Presenters: Teresa Egan, Beth Cobb, and Marion Anastasia
This workshop presented a program, Keeping Learning on Track, published by the Educational Testing Service which outlines 5 key strategies to use in the classroom and many techniques corrolated with these strategies to assess for learning.
Although the presenters were knowledgeable, the information presented was not new for any FHSD teacher. The five key strategies were similar to Marzano's strategies and the techniques were definitely well-known and commonly used by teachers for the past several years. This workshop was reported by many attendees as being a sales pitch for the ETS Keeping Learning on Track Program.
